Tissue Paper Stamping

I had just watched the video on tissue paper stamping, just before the gentleman at our church died from a long fight with cancer.  I thought it might make a nice sympathy card for his wife.  You can find the link for the video Here .

Wishing you all a great week ahead.

Celebrate Love

My sister and her husband are away right now enjoying a little time away celebrating their anniversary.  Happy Anniversary wouldn't fit on the little tag I wanted to use, so I used the celebrate Love sentiment.

I saw this Memory Box die at my LSS and just had to have it.  I decided to color it with Spectrum Noir pens. I added dimensional adhesive to pop the flowers up just a bit.  The little bee die was too cute so that just jumped into my hands begging me to take him home :)

Spellbinders -- Labels 25 die
Memory Box -- Bella Bouquet die
Elizabeth Dies-- Bees
Distress ink -- Faded Jeans
DCWV -- Crafty Stack
Martha Stewart -- tag punch
Impression Obsession-- sentiment stamp
Queen & co. -- baby blue rhinestones (corners)
White Ribbon was died with distress ink
Pin attach tag

Another one of those busy days, I need to get two cards made that have to go out in the mail and also start a sewing project to give as a present. Not to mention my normal chores around the house.

It is beautiful out today we were able to take a nice walk this morning, hope your day is a Great one,
Thanks so much for dropping by,

Chipboard

While reorganizing my room I found these Chipboard shapes from Studio 18 and thought I would use them on the next card I made.

Studio 18-- Chipboard label and Butterfly
Hot off the press , Dazzles -- Tiny words and phrases
g.c.d. -- Melody Ross, designer collection, homespun chic paper
Spellbinders Decorative Labels eight die
Liquid Pearls -- Lemon Yellow and White opal
Lace
Glimmer mist
Distress stain

On the sentiment label I first misted it with Glimmer mist, and I didn't like how the embossing on the tag wasn't showing up so I also added some ink on the embossed areas.  On the butterfly I first applied Distress stain in brushed pewter and I wanted to high light the embossing on that too, so I went around that with blue marker.  It always feels good to use somethings that I had forgotten I had.
I like how the dazzles give you the look of embossing but is much quicker.

Hope you had a good weekend and the week ahead holds many good things,
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it,

Card Quotes

My nephews new wife's birthday is in a few days and I was coming up blank on an idea for her so I started going through my stuff and came across Hot off the press's Cardmaker's Birthday card quotes, and thought it would be neat.

Spellbinders-- Labels eight and decorative labels eight dies
DCWV-- Brights Matt stack
Forever in time -- gems
Distress ink-- Old Paper
Chalk

I decided to highlight some of the words with chalk that matched the framing color. I also used a grey chalk on the silverware but I don't think you can even tell in the picture.
I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the card, it also had an image from the book with chalking.
There is a gem missing from the top right corner, I realized it before I mailed it out, my hubby found it on the floor, I reattached it, so hopefully it stayed put when she opened the envelope.

Well I am almost done with my room reorganizing, I still need to purge more but it is hard for me to get rid of things, my sister tried to help me with that when we were moving from one of the bases while in the Air Force and I would come up with some reason why I needed to hang on to something.

So now I can get back to the fun part and that is creating.... I have to get ready for my next demo tomorrow too, so hopefully I can squeeze in some cards in there somewhere :)

Wishing you a great weekend and stay cool,
Thanks for stopping by,

Connie

Chalkboard Birthday

My girlfriend at church is a teacher at our local community college and so I thought using the Our Daily Bread design chalk board birthday stamp would be perfect.

Our Daily Bread Designs-- Chalkboard Birthday stamp
K&co. -- Papers
Fiskars -- Boarder punch
Melissa Frances -- Glass Glitter (boarder above punch) used scor pal to apply the glitter
Martha Stewart -- Flower and Butterfly punches
Black enamel accents (on butterfly)
Yellow Stickles in flower center

Our outside temperature gauge is reading 100 at 5pm.
I am in the middle of pulling everything out of my craft room and rearranging, I have decided that I need to get rid of some stuff I haven't been using in order to make room for new.  I also needed to make room for my Mothers sewing table, my sister has been nice to keep it for me until I can come and get it and I can't wait to get it here and set my sewing machine up and to be able to finish a few sewing projects.  With these kind of temps, working inside in the air conditioning is the perfect time to get my things in order.

Hope you are all staying cool,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

With Sympathy

My Husbands Aunt just lost her husband.  She just lost her sister (my husbands Mom) in May and now her husband has passed.  It seems like we have had enough loss in the past 7 months in our family.

Spellbinders -- Carnation Creations and Foliage dies
Flower soft for flower centers
Elisabeth Craft designs-- With sympathy die
Prima Fairy Flora papers
Lace from my stash

We have Amazon Prime, and there is a list of free shows that you can watch and I just finished the series Lark Rise to Candleford.  I just loved the whole series, there were 4 in all. It is set in the late 1800's,  that was my Sunday night ritual, I would sit and watch a couple episodes a week, sadly I watched the last one last week.  I really recommend it to anyone that loves that time frame. I decided to look through and see what else they had and I tried London Hospital, it is all suppose to be based on actual letters, hospital records and such.  It starts off in 1906, and although I have only watched one show so far, I think I have something else that I am hooked on and will keep my busy until Downton Abbey starts up again :)

Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend,

Purple passion

I must have been in a purple mood this day :)  In the picture the paper seems to be darker but I couldn't get it adjusted right in my program.

I was going for a more Elegant feel with this one.

Tim Holtz-- Flights of Fancy stamp
Spellbinders -- Floral Ovals and Labels 25 dies
Lace

This is my first time using the very middle die of the Floral Ovals die, doesn't it make a cute little tag or charm.

Hope your still enjoying a good Holiday weekend, it was a bit warm yesterday, but we were able to get the yard work done before it was unbearable.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and for sharing your comments, it is much appreciated,
Connie

Happy Independance Day

Hello all, just thought I would share a banner I made for my mantel this year, and wish you all a safe day and night celebrating.

I also made the little doll up there, but that was many years ago :)

All are Spellbinder dies, except the star which was a chipboard piece I had and I added some blue glitter to it.  The stamped letters are from My Sentiments Exactly.
